The z3000 mk.2 is an all-analog, voltage-controlled oscillator that gives you the ability to implement synthesis techniques in a controlled and planned manner, turning your modular system into an even more powerful musical instrument. The z3000 mk.2’s analog core generates four waveforms with substantial character, giving you the sound signature that can only be created by a true analog VCO.
The z3000 mk.2 also has a built-in arithmetic processor, which allows for relevent data to be displayed constantly, taking the guesswork out of tuning your modular. This tuner can be set to display the current Frequency or its musical Note/Octave.
The z3000 mk.2’s unique circuitry allows for high levels of synthesis complexity such as frequency modulation, CV waveshaping and sync modulation all while maintaining excellent wide-range tracking, even with stacked 1v/oct signals. For crunchy, mangled, shredded, obliterated analogue waveforms, the z3000mkII will get you there.
The z3000mkII provides several modulation inputs simultaneously. PWM, FM, hard sync, HSM and symmetry waveshaping. Frequency modulation (fm) is available in both Linear and Exponential forms.
The Z3000mkII offers traditional hard sync along a new type of sync called Hard Sync Modulation (HSM). While traditional hard sync will only work with pulse or sawtooth waves, with similar effect, the HSM accepts any waveform, even complete sounds, which will modulate, distort and rectify the waveform. Hard Sync Modulation is a powerful waveform distortion effect built into the Z3000mkII, and can be used in any patch.
