The Bubblesound Reducer Module is a 2HP “de-amplifier” – or fixed attenuator – to bring Eurorack modular-level signals (synths, drums or effects) down to line level so they can easily be used with stomp boxes, effects processors and samplers. It is also handy for using with certain audio interfaces, and mixing desks without PAD switches – where your modular audio output signal is clipping even with the receiving device’s input gain pots set to minimum.
Reducer has 4 separate de-amplifiers. The inputs are normalized so that 1 input can give up to 4 copies of that signal out of the individual outputs, meaning that it can also be used as a multiple (albeit with gain reduction). A common use case would be to split your signal and send it to multiple different effects pedals simultaneously – or to take a mono output from your modular, reduce it to line level, and then use 2 of its outputs to feed it simultaneously into both Left & RIght inputs of a stereo effects processor such as the Korg Kaoss Pad, where there is no option for mono input.
If you have a certain pedal which is particularly fussy about its input level being low – and the gain reduction from one stage of Reducer is not enough – you can simply chain one stage into the another for further attenuation.
The Reducer is skiff friendly and has very low power consumption
