The Dreadbox Komorebi is an analogue BBD Chorus & Flanger effects pedal. It is suitable for both fretted instruments & synthesizers, and offers a warm and lush sonic signature.

Komorebi features CV connectivity to enable patching with Eurorack modular systems, standalone sequencers or semi-modular synthesizers.


  • Full Analog BBD Chorus-Flanger with 3 LFO Waves
  • Warm vintage sound based on analogue BBD (“Bucket Brigade Device”) chips
  • 3 Different LFO Waves – ramp, triangle & saw
  • BBD Time ranges from 2ms up to 40ms
  • LFO range from 15 seconds all the way up to audio rate FM
  • “Amount” control to balance between the “Static” knob’s setting and the LFO
  • CV input to modulate the BBD’s delay time (via the “Static” input)
  • CV input for LFO rate
  • CV output for the LFO signal

Improvements from the older 15v version (serial numbers <499):

  •  A dedicated adapter is no longer needed. You can use any power supply that is made for effect pedals ( 9vDc 2,1mm centre negative)
  • The same headroom was retained by adding high quality voltage converters by Texas Instruments
  • Floor noise is reduced and signal to noise ratio is greatly improved
  • LFO Saw/Ramp pop noise is minimised, although there will always be *some* pop due to the abrupt change in delay time
  • Removed the DIP switch on the back, as it was confusing
  • Allowed higher delay times (it was previously 2ms to 30ms, but now it is 2ms to 35-40ms)
  • We have added a soft switch for easier on/off action (The true bypass has been removed, and replaced with a CMOS technology is handling that. CMOS switches are completely colourless and transparent buffers, but they need power to work)
