Mutable Instruments Veils & Blinds Now in Stock!

Mutable Instruments News 15.1

Two brand new modules are now in stock from the ever-dependable Olivier Gillet of Mutable Instruments: Veils and Blinds

  • Veils provides four VCAs with an adjustable response curve. Veils’ outputs are daisy-chained, allowing adjacent groups of 2, 3, or all 4 channels, to be mixed together. The response curve of each VCA is adjustable from the front panel – from Linear to Exponential – with variable amplification available (x2 or +6dB in linear operation, x10 or +20dB) in exponential operation)
  • Blinds is a 4-channel voltage-controlled signal polarizer. Each channel consists of a polarizer circuit, also known as a four-quadrant multiplier. This circuit acts like a VCA, except that a negative control voltage will cause the output signal to be inverted, instead of being silenced. Blinds’ outputs are daisy-chained, allowing adjacent groups of 2, 3, or all 4 channels, to be mixed together. This module can be used to solve the issue whereby some modules’ parameter offset controls become attenuators when signals are patched into the respective CV input. Each channel on Blinds can provide an offset AND attenuation for such scenarios
